At Kids Rock Academy, we are committed to teaching Christian values while fostering growth in phonics, writing, math, fine and gross motor skills, and social development. Our goal is to provide a strong foundation that equips children with the skills, character, and confidence needed for success throughout their educational journey.
We strive to create a nurturing environment that supports each child's physical, cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, and educational growth. Christian values are woven into our daily activities through stories, music, art, prayer, and classroom experiences, helping children develop an understanding of God's love and care for them.
In partnership with families, we seek to reinforce the positive values, ethics, and morals taught at home while providing a safe, healthy, and Christ-centered learning environment. We also recognize and celebrate the unique value of every individual, fostering an appreciation for the diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds that enrich our community and world in age-appropriate ways.

Kids Rock Academy is a faith-based ministry and outreach of Church On The Rock. Our church exists to make fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, following His command:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." - Matthew 28:19–20
The purpose of Kids Rock Academy is to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing Christian environment that supports each child's physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and educational development. We are committed to fostering spiritual growth through the integration of Christian values, biblical principles, and the teaching of strong moral and ethical character.
Both Church On The Rock and Kids Rock Academy are dedicated to being a multiplying discipleship movement that impacts lives both locally and globally, as Jesus instructed:
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." - Acts 1:8
Because these beliefs form the foundation of our ministry, all staff members, volunteers, and participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects, promotes, and supports these biblical values and convictions.

We primarily serve children ages 3–5 years old. We also understand that many families choose to delay Kindergarten entry by an additional year. We support each family's decision and are happy to accommodate children who turn 6 years old while continuing to benefit from our preschool program, provided the placement is appropriate for the child's developmental needs.

Our Bible curriculum is an important part of our preschool program. We strive to nurture each child's spiritual growth by incorporating Christian values, ethics, and strong moral foundations into everyday learning. Each month, we focus on a different Bible story using a two-year rotating curriculum featuring many of our most cherished stories. Faith is woven into each day through Bible lessons, songs, discussions, and prayer, helping children grow in both their understanding of God's love and their character. 

Children enrolled in our preschool program should be consistently working toward independent toileting or be fully potty trained. We understand that every child develops at their own pace, and occasional accidents may occur. To attend preschool, children must be able to wear underwear or a pull-up during class and should be mostly independent when using the restroom. Our staff can provide limited assistance with clothing and help children change if they have a wet accident. However, in the event that a child has a bowel movement accident, a parent or guardian will be contacted. You may choose to pick up your child for the remainder of the day, or come to the preschool to assist your child with changing and then allow them to return to class.

Our main classes run from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM. Our teachers open the doors to the students and their parents at 8:50 AM. Children are signed back out to their authorized individual for pick-up as close to 12:00 PM as possible.

We currently do not offer a before-care program. However, we do offer Kids Rock Club, which is available from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM each day. The cost is $12 per day, and children should bring a packed lunch. 

No. We do not have a scheduled nap time during our three hour class. However, children who stay for Kids Rock Club participate in a daily quiet time. During this 20–30 minute period, children sit quietly and watch an age-appropriate video. Those who would like to rest are welcome to lie down, but sleeping is not required. This provides an opportunity for everyone to relax and recharge before the day's activities continue. 

Yes. Our teachers go through the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED program every other year to keep their certification current. Teachers are trained in infant, child, and adult CPR/AED techniques. 

Kids Rock Academy offers parents real time communication through a company called Brightwheel. Brightwheel has a mobile app where parents receive daily photos and information about their child’s time at preschool. Parents will also be able to message their child’s teacher anytime throughout the day. 

Kids Rock Academy believes guidance is an important part of helping children develop self-control, healthy relationships, and positive self-esteem. We strive to create a nurturing environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to make good choices. Teachers model appropriate behavior, recognize positive actions, and help children learn problem-solving skills that support social and emotional growth.
When a child struggles with following classroom expectations, teachers will:

1. Discuss the behavior with the child in a calm and respectful manner.
2. Review classroom rules and help the child identify a better choice for the future.
3. Redirect the child toward a more appropriate activity or behavior.
4. If needed, temporarily separate the child from the activity to allow time for reflection and self-regulation, followed by a discussion with the teacher.

Absolutely! We believe children learn best through meaningful play, hands-on experiences, engaging activities, and developmentally appropriate learning. Our desire is for every child to build confidence, develop compassion for others, and grow in their love of God as they experience the joy and wonder of learning. 

Every day at Kids Rock Academy is designed to balance learning, creativity, movement, and fun in a nurturing environment where children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
A typical day includes:

• Circle Time for communication and group learning
• Large Motor Play to build strength and coordination
• Singing & Dancing for creativity and confidence
• Math Activities through hands-on learning
• Fine Motor Activities to develop coordination
• Free Play to encourage imagination and social skills
• Art Projects for creative expression
• Language Learning to build vocabulary and early literacy

Preparing children for kindergarten involves much more than teaching letters and numbers. A strong preschool program focuses on the whole child by developing the social, emotional, physical, language, and early academic skills needed for long-term success. In our program, children learn essential kindergarten-readiness skills such as listening to directions, following routines, working independently, taking turns, sharing with classmates, managing emotions, solving problems, and persisting through challenges. We also foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Alongside these important life skills, children build a solid foundation in early language, literacy, and math through engaging, play-based learning experiences. By nurturing every area of development, we help each child make a confident, successful transition into kindergarten.

Your child will be assessed twice during the school year to help us monitor their growth and development. The first assessment takes place at the beginning of the school year and focuses on foundational early childhood skills, along with social and emotional development. Beginning in January, we conduct a more comprehensive assessment that provides a detailed picture of your child's progress across all areas of learning and development. These assessments are completed through play-based learning centers, ongoing teacher observations, and age-appropriate evaluations, allowing us to gain an accurate understanding of each child's growth in a supportive and engaging environment. 

Formal parent-teacher conferences are offered in March. During these conferences, teachers can review your child's progress and discuss the assessment results with you in a confidential setting. However, at Kids Rock Academy, we value open and respectful communication between families and staff. Parents are always welcome to request a conference with their child's teachers or the director at any time throughout the year as needs or concerns arise. 

Yes! Children are offered a snack and water each day during their scheduled snack time. We encourage children to try new foods, but they are never required to eat anything they don't enjoy. Please note that we do not provide alternate snack options if a child chooses not to eat the snack offered that day.

If your child has a food allergy/dietary restriction, please let us know when they enroll. Your child's health and safety are important to us. Families are welcome to provide a supply of approved snacks for children with severe food allergies/dietary restrictions. Please send the snacks in a clearly labeled container or bag with your child's name. We will store the snacks at the preschool and ensure your child receives one of their safe snacks during snack time. When your child's snack supply begins to run low, we will notify you so it can be replenished.

Yes. For the safety of all children, our preschool maintains a nut-free environment. Because many children have peanut and tree nut allergies, foods containing peanuts or any type of tree nut are not permitted at preschool. We also do not use peanut butter or other nut products during classroom activities or learning center time.
